Our Story

One of the reasons for opening this Tea Web Shop is my desire to share my Iranian way of tea blending and drinking with tea lovers in Europe. Tea is delicious, healthy, and comforting. More and more people are beginning to replace coffee with tea.

My Heritage

My origins lie in the Northeast of Iran, known for its saffron culture. My family owned vast fields for growing Crocus sativus, known as Spring Crocus. I remember early mornings before sunrise when men and women would go out to these fields to pick up the small pistils of this crocus flower, known as saffron.
In this region, saffron tends to be used in every dish or drink. Food without saffron is perceived as having no taste. To this day, I continue to use saffron in most of my dishes, even when I opt for European cuisine.

Traditional Wisdom

Back in my youth in Iran, every evening after supper, we drank tea with saffron and rose water. Every afternoon after lunch, we drank tea with cardamom seeds. I didn’t know why this sort of beverage was so common in my family at the time.
Years later, when I came to Europe, I learned about the medicinal benefits of these spices. I began to explore and discovered the reasons for using these two spices in our food and beverages in Iran.
